A great hero is completely worthless without a great villain. Fortunately for Sonic, he has Eggman!
I couldn’t leave Eggman out of the celebration, it’d be ridiculous of me not to include my favorite villain of all time! In fact, he’s not just one of my favorite villains, but one of my favorite fictional characters in general! I find that even when many other things may not be all that up to my liking in a game, Eggman almost always manages to be an enjoyable part of it (Mike Pollock’s eggcellent voice acting definitely helps out there). He manages to be an entertaining character, funny, but intimidating. It’s a shame he hasn’t gotten his own series of games, I think it’d be a great idea!
So to whom I consider the world’s number one villain, happy birthday!

One thing I really love about the Tumblr Sonic community is that you guys are really accepting of the whole “Robotnik-to-Eggman” thing. On most websites, I can’t mention Dr. Eggman without someone freaking out like
“YOU FUCKING RETARD STOP IT ALREADY. HIS NAME IS DR. FUCKING ROBOTNIK. EGGMAN IS A SHITTY NAME AND SEGA NEEDS TO CHANGE IT BACK.”
So thanks for that, I guess.
